Ages 35-50, Single Men

This class will use The Gospel Project Sunday School materials. They will take scripture and apply it to their lives in order to grow in faith to navigate life’s challenges, and also to make an impact on others for the sake of the Gospel. This class will be for men who want to encourage others and be encouraged.

This class is made up of married couples and singles, where most of the guys play in Immanuel’s basketball league. All visitors are welcome.

If you desire small group Bible study that is relevant to everyday life, is interactive and engaging, and is challenging to your heart and lives…then this class may be for you!

This is a small group initiative designed to equip and enable Christ-followers to live out the Great Commission and Great Commandment as a community of believers.

The Davis’s desire is to create a covenant community who intentionally commit to doing life together, studying God’s Word together and living a missional lifestyle in an effort to impact our homes, our city and beyond.

Couples, 35-45, with young children

A lecture and discussion format is used to guide the class in Bible study, while fellowships offer opportunities for members to build relationships with each other. The class also participates in community service projects.

The format of this class changes as needed. We have monthly fellowships to stay connected. The class is purposefully small to provide good interactive discussions and is never without debate. We support each other in life’s trials and challenges without judgment.

We were not designed to follow Jesus alone. We were created to do it together. This discussion-centered class will explore God’s Word together, pray together, and encourage one another to live out a life surrendered to Jesus.

Led in their study by Guy Wade, class members meet on Sundays to discuss God’s Word and what it says about relevant issues. They also meet outside class for a variety of fellowships that encourage fun and build relationships.

Traditional Bible study based on Sunday School literature mixed with the occasional topical approach. Leaders offer a lecture style format that encourages questions and discussion.

This light-hearted mix of men and women – married, never married, divorced, single parents, young and not-so-young – seek fellowship that comes from the deep and fruitful study of God’s Word.

Phil Spigner

Pastor for Ministry & Leadership

Phil Spigner joined Immanuel in 1990. He and his wife, Wanda, have two sons, Brian (wife Kristen) and Ross (wife Caroline). Phil received a B.S. in church ministry from Mississippi College and a Master of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. As Associate Pastor for Ministry and Leadership, Phil, along with our members, seeks the Lord’s direction for the various ministries of Immanuel and helps our members grow and fulfill their call to serve Jesus Christ. The desire of Phil’s heart is to be God’s man no matter what task the day may bring, big or small, to be able to do it for the Lord.
