If you are following along with our Bible Reading
If you are following along with our Bible Reading Plan (check it out online at ibclr.org!), you are likely on Week 3 Day 12, reading Genesis 20-21. The book "Foundations" by Robby and Kandi Gallaty with Replicate Ministries provides commentary for the reading for each day. This is today's comments - we thought you might enjoy it as you head into your weekend.

"Despite God's continued faithfulness, Abraham still had a hard time learning to trust God in all things. Afraid for his life, Abraham lied about Sarah's identity and put the entire kingdom in jeopardy. Even so, God's faithfulness to His covenant promises shone through as He protected Abraham and delivered a son at the exact time God had specified. These two chapters speak to God's promise-keeping nature. Thankfully, as Abraham's life demonstrates, God is faithful to His promises no matter how many times His children sin and stumble. God's love outweighs even our biggest weaknesses."

What spoke to you from today's reading? We'd love to know!

**It's not too late to start the F260 Bible Reading Plan! If you would like a copy of this book, please let an Immanuel staff member know. There are also extra copies in the library!

GO MISSIONS HIGHLIGHT
Take a minute to stop and pray for our partners at First Baptist Church in Asuncion, Paraguay. Here are a few prayer points:

-During the life of our partnership, FBC Asuncion has started 5 mission churches in the suburbs of Asuncion over the past 13 years.
-During this COVID season, two of the lowest income community missions, CONAVI and Tarumandy, organized food kits for distribution to needy families in their local communities. The churches used this opportunity to invite unchurched families to visit their missions.
-Pray for our partners Nelson and Elena Ortiz as they search for a senior pastor for FBC Asuncion amidst the pandemic.
-Pray for the mission churches as they are working to become self-supporting.

Last Sunday, Dr. Smith preached on John 4: 1-9 as we kicked off our "Undaunted" series. The story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman shows us a glimpse into the heart and compassion of Jesus. In this passage, Jesus breaks every social convention of the time. He breaks the geographical barriers, the cultural barriers, and the racial barriers.
"Maybe the map of God is bigger than we can conceive of."

Check out this City Center Story of the Week! We are so grateful for everyone involved in making the @citycenterlr a resource for the Little Rock community.

——
Before the day started in the Food Pantry a few weeks ago, one of our regular food pantry friends came into the City Center asking for assistance with his unemployment. He had to submit a few letters online and was unable to do so because he did not have access to a computer. When this situation presented itself, we were grateful that we had resources to assist him. We were able to sit down, help format a letter and get it submitted to his online account to finalize his approval. It’s beautiful to see the Lord answer our prayers of using this space to create ministry opportunities.
